PROFILE: JEREMY CALDER

Jeremy graduated from Curtin University with a Master of Clinical Psychology. He has gained experience across many different sectors, including the NDIS, public health, university wellbeing, grief support, and alcohol and other drug services.

In these spaces, Jeremy has worked with people navigating concerns such as loss, chronic health conditions, neurodivergence, relationship difficulties, and substance use, and is particularly interested in working with people on challenges that surround major existential concerns in life, regarding meaning, identity, loss, and fear of death.

This breadth of experience means he can adapt his approach to each person’s circumstances, goals and support network. His approach is warm, practical and collaborative. Jeremy also understands that a person’s wellbeing is shaped by their relationships, past experiences and the systems around them.

He applies this understanding alongside evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, tailoring support to each person’s needs, strengths and goals.

Although not formally trained yet, Jeremy is passionate about Schema therapy, EMDR and Interpersonal Process Therapy and is planning on seeking future CPD opportunities for such therapies.

Outside of the therapy room, Jeremy lives an active lifestyle, prioritising hobbies such as surfing, golf and fitness. Jeremy is also an avid reader that has a particular interest in genre's concerning fantasy, science fiction, politics, history and philosophy.
