PROFILE - MICHELA COCHRANE

Michela is a compassionate and down-to-earth Clinical Psychologist who brings warmth, authenticity, and deep respect for each person’s unique journey. She is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel genuinely seen and supported, at their own pace and in their own way.

Michela completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) at Charles Sturt University and has undertaken further training in a range of trauma-focused and integrative therapies. Originally from Italy, she moved to Australia in 2007 and has since worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, schools, and community organisations. Her culturally sensitive and client-centred approach is grounded in the belief that authentic human connection is a powerful force for healing and change.

Michela’s therapeutic approach is collaborative and flexible. She draws on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Imagery Rescripting, Counselling Psychology, Psychodynamic approaches, and Compassionate Inquiry. She works alongside each client to explore what is most important to them, helping to foster lasting, internal change grounded in self-awareness and personal growth. She is particularly interested in how early relational experiences shape our emotional landscape and the ways we relate to ourselves and others.

Michela gently supports clients in uncovering what matters most to them, guiding the process of meaningful change that feels authentic and rooted in their inner wisdom.
