PROFILE - SHAUNA KNOTH
I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with postgraduate qualifications in mental health practice and a range of contemporary psychological therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
I have worked in the public health system for over 15 years in a variety of areas including first episode psychosis, adult mental health, older adult mental health and with women experiencing domestic violence. I have an advanced knowledge of services available to assist people in the community and of social systems that impact the health and wellbeing of individuals.
As a therapist it is important to me to provide a relaxed, caring and judgement free space for clients to feel safe enough to explore their issues, to learn and grow and maximise their quality of mental wellbeing.
I use a person centred and collaborative approach to support people experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, workplace stress and low self-esteem and look forward to working side by side to assist you to achieve your therapy goals.
